DBIMPORT HANGS

Hy,
On our UNIX server we exported our Informix OnLine 5.0 database, dropped
the database and recreated it (severe tablespace including one BLOB).
Now we try to perform a dbimport and notice that the dbimport command
hangs after a while (about 10 min.) and always during the import of one
specific table (always that same table).
There are no erros nor warning mentioned, the dbimport command simply
hangs and does nothing else (no disk activity anymore). We also noticed
that an SQL-proces (sqlturbo) is running, and via the truss command we
see this command is
doing nothing:
read(0, ....) (sleeping)
What is going on here. Anyone experienced this problem before ?

Does the table that hangs have a TEXT BLOB column? It may be that
there are embedded newlines in some BLOB record which is confusing the
load program. If so you can edit the file, if it is not too large, and
add a backslash before the newline or merge the lines and replace the
newline with a hex code.
