dropping syscdr
Posted in 2012
User asked about dropping the syscdr database when migrating Enterprise Replication from Informix 9.21 to 11.7, since "cdr delete server" wasn't working. Experts confirmed dropping syscdr is usually sufficient, with one suggesting "cdr delete server XXX --force" as alternative. User reported successfully dropping syscdr but then encountered error 62 (CDR GC updateCDRState failure) when defining the primary ER server; no resolution recorded.

Hello everyone: We are managing an old informix database 9.21 where was activate Enterprise Replication but nowdays is off. We are trying to activate ER with our newest informix 11.7 but I need to drop syscdr because cdr delete server doen't work, it says "ER not active" and so on. So My question, Can I drop syscdr database and define a newest one with cdr define server? Should I do anything more than drop cyscdr database? Thank you in advance.
Usually dropping syscdr is all you need to do. Art Art S. Hello: Thank you Everyone, Yesterday I dropped syscdr database without problems but today when i try define and connect my primary server of Enterprise Replication it says error number 100. In online.log file of this server show this error but I don't what it's mean. "CDR GC: operation updateCDRState failed (error 62)" Thank you 2012/7/24, Juan Francisco González Navarro <jfrancisco.navarro@gmail.com>: > Hello > > Thank you everyone. I'll try to night. Did you bounce the instance before trying to define your server after dropping syscdr? If you haven't done so please try recycle it first and re-try. (I can recall something like running ./buildsmi in v7.x or recycle the instance) jp From: "Juan Francisco Gonz疝ez Navarro" <jfrancisco.navarro@gmail.com> To: ids@iiug.org Date: 07/25/2012 03:27 AM Subject: Re: dropping syscdr [27821] Sent by: ids-bounces@iiug.org Hello: Thank you Everyone, Yesterday I dropped syscdr database without problems but today when i try define and connect my primary server of Enterprise Replication it says error number 100.
