The scenario. ------------- Development Environment: MS VB6 Enterprise Apex True DBGrid 7 Connectivity: MS ADO 2.5 INTERSOLV 3.10 32-BIT INFORMIX 9 ODBC Driver (3.10.00.00) DB Platforms: MS Jet 3.5 MS Jet 4 MS SQL Server 7 MS SQL Server 2000 Informix SE (UNIX) Client Environment: Windows 95 Windows 98 Windows NT 4 Server Windows 2000 Server The Issue. ---------- Everything works perfectly with the MS Jet and MS SQL Server platforms. Everything does not work perfectly with the Informix SE (UNIX) platform We have tried connecting via the OLEDB Provider For ODBC and via the ODBC driver. Opening the Informix SE database and interrogating it causes no problems, but using recordset .update methods does. The connection attributes indicate that it is supported. Executing SQL 'insert into ...', 'update ...' and 'delete from ...' statements works fine. The impression that I am getting is that the ODBC driver has some limitations that are causing the problem. Has anyone else run into this type of problem, and if so, has anyone successfully resolved the issues? -- Stephany Young Please reply to the group otherwise the deleted items folder in my email client gets too full ---------------------------------------------------------
Hi, you may try the new release of Client SDK. The ODBC driver is an Informix driver rather than an Intersolv. You can find it in www.informix.com/evaluate/ . Please, let me know if that solve your problem.
