One of the Informix Manuals tells us that the order of installation is unimportant; while another Manual tells us that SDK should be installed BEFORE the engine. Client Products (Client SDK or Connect) 2. Database Servers ............." 2) Installation Guide for Informix Dynamic Server on Unix Version 7.3 "If you install more than one Informix product on the same computer, you do not have to install them in a specific order.
