Thanks to Ed, Russ, Jeff, Mario, Nils, David, et al, for your advice!!!! For our situation, it sounds like kermit & g(b)zip would help us the most. Mario, thanks for the SCO kermit & gzip -- they work great!!! Do you know if the same kermit will work on SCO Openserver 5, or do I need to get the source and re-compile? How about the gzip? David, would I be able to get the ckermit *source* from you? Maybe the bzip, too? If not, does anyone know of the *best* place on the net to get the source for these?? For the security aspect (yes, we DO need the security!), we are looking at 'crypt' -- anyone have any good/bad experience with that utility?
