dbload error

When I run 'dbload' to load data into a table, here is the error message. 18 /data01 % dbload -d nlplive -c /data01/dataload/text/dbload.com -l ./err.log DBLOAD Load Utility INFORMIX-SQL Version 7.23.UC1 Copyright (C) Informix Software, Inc., 1984-1997 Read error occurred during connection attempt.
