They do not do anything to the internal structure of the files. BCHECK (or if you want to do a more complete job and a lot faster ISAMATION) will reorganize the internal structure of the files. Unloading and reloading will accomplish the same thing as BCHECK (secheck) but it will take longer and require more handholding. The b-tree blocks will generally be about 70% full after either of these rebuilds. Glen Johnson
