The problem you describe occurs because a scroll cursor is implemented by building a temporary table. A common way around the problem you describe is to have the scroll cursor fetch only the primary key for the table, then do a fetch of the exact row using a separate cursor (or an in-line SELECT). As long as you're not updating the primary key, this works fine. HTH Irwin
