Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Is it necessary to have the same user logins on the remote database
server and local client to access the database?
I have attempted to use .netrc file and it gave error -952,
(User's password is not correct for the database server)
even though the password is correct.
The sanity of the .netrc file was verified using ftp.
If there is no .netrc file then Informix reports error -951.
We have Informix Online 5.02UC1 and Star 5.02UC1 on SunOS 4.1.3 on
Sparc 690.
