Q+E *is* an ODBC driver isn't it?

If you want to use ODBC, you might have a problem accessing older
Informix databases. They only became generally available from version
5.x on.
If you can find an ODBC driver, why not just run your Delphi
application on a client-server basis against the existing Informix
database?
Another idea you might find useful is to examine the product to see
if a utility called dbexport exists. This will unload the database
for you.
Another option is to see if a tool called dbaccess or isql is on the
machine. These have a "Query-language" option in which you can write
SQL scripts to UNLOAD individual tables.
