Need more information. RDS or c compiled? Does this happen when you compile or when you try to run the program? Does the program run at all, or do you get the error at the very start of the program? Does the program exit, or does the error display and then continue operating? The error looks to me to be a Unix error. Do you have a RUN command that calls run_master, or calls a shell that has that in it? I suspect this, but if the program fails at compile or immediately at runtime, there might be a bug in one of the Informix shells causing the problem. After investigating any RUN commands, try this: cd $INFORMIXDIR/bin grep run_master * if you get any files that contain run_master, see if run_master is there (ls -l run_master). I doubt if this is the problem (I tried this on our office machine, and got nothing). If you see a reference to run_master in $INFORMIXDIR/bin, call tech support and see if it's supposed to be there. ============================================================ Dennis J.
