The following two files may be of some interest. Note that they are somewhat dated. The first is a listing of SmartWare BBS systems that was pulled off of one of those systems. I'm not sure how the second one got here, though it does say it's from Informix. Good luck, Walt. ============================================================================== Informix/SmartWare BBS's Last Updated: March 26, 1991 This is a list of BBS's that specialize in topics and files related to SmartWare. They have also started to include conferences for Informix-4GL and Unix in general. Some of these boards "echo" the messages in selected conferences among each other, so that each BBS carries the traffic from all boards. The main BBS is run by Informix in Kansas by the group who support SmartWare. This support group can be addressed from any of the linked boards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BBS NAME CODE NUMBER BOEING AIRCRAFT USERS GROUP M 1-206-235-9496 BECS Tandy OPUS E 1-206-524-5618 AESC BBS H1 1-404-381-1947 AESC BBS R3 1-404-564-1256 ATHENS FORUM EH3 1-404-546-7858 NAME UNKNOWN F 1-405-248-4156 PRO-PC, BLUE CROSS/BLUE SHIELD R2 1-412-391-1970 COMPUTER TYME E 1-417-866-1665 FOG-LINE E 1-515-964-7937 BI-TECH 1-516-567-8267 ESN News/Capital Bureau R4 1-518-283-4855 HONEYWELL IRC R2 1-612-870-6400 OLD FOLKS HOME E 1-615-265-2629 FIRENET LEADER E 1-719-592-7415 SOUND ADVICE - 9 NODES R3H2 1-816-436-4516 SOUND ADVICE - HAYES V SERIES ONLY R3H4 1-816-436-8029 JOHNSON CNTY COLL 1-913-469-4401 INFORMIX SOFTWARE - HOME OF SMARTWARE - 2 NODES R1 1-913-492-2089 ELECTRONIC COMMUNITY BBS 1-913-829-1256 MCC BBS S 1-915-728-5769 INTERNATIONAL: CENTRAL OPUS UK E1 44-21-711-1451 SMUG BBS UK R2 44-22-346-0484 SMART UK BBS H5 44-01-751-0141 NUMBER OF BOARDS: 21 CODE MEANINGS: R1 - RESTRICED ACCESS, REGISTERED SMARTWARE OWNERS ONLY - VERIFIED R2 - RESTRICED ACCESS, PRIVATE BOARD, SPECIAL REGISTRATION REQUIRED R3 - RESTRICED ACCESS, SUBSCRIPTION $ REQUIRED R4 - RESTRICED ACCESS, REGISTRATION VIA MAIL E - MEMBER OF NATION FIDO ECHOMAIL E1 - MEMBER OF UNITED KINGDOM FIDO ECHOMAIL F - FILES ONLY NO SMART MESSAGE AREA H1 - 9600 BAUD EVI/FASTCOM MODEM H2 - 9600 BAUD US ROBOTICS H3 - 9600 BAUD TRAILBLAZER H4 - 9600 BADU HAYES V SERIES H5 - 300/1200 BAUD ONLY M - MESSAGE BASE ONLY S - NATIONAL ELECTRONIC SMUG HEADQUARTERS - FORMING THIS LIST IS COMPILED AND PUBLISHED BY MIKE SABOT - SYSOP AESC BBS IF YOU WISH YOUR BBS ADDED TO THE ABOVE LIST, EITHER LEAVE A MESSAGE ON THE NATIONAL SMART ECHO MAIL, MCC BBS, INFORMIX BBS OR AESC BBS TO MY ATTENTION.
