ESQL-C

I need to test INet - I am linking my Microsoft Windows program to an RS 6000 Informix Online (and Informix SE) database. I am recently told that to get INet I need to purchase ESQL-C which _now_ comes with the correct client and server networking products. My program is an ODBC product - and I have the Q&E Database Library and drivers which come with it. Can anyone confirm that this is correct. There is a short section in the FAQ about using ESQL with C++ I am considering doing away with ODBC programming and using ESQL-C. How can I find out detailed info about ESQL-C before buying the product and getting the manuals. Has informix improved the ESQL headers for use with C++?
