Logical log back-ups

I think this question is mainly applicable to version 5 of OnLine. Suppose I have a logical log backup created with tbtape -c. It's (say) 100MBytes long, and represents the back-up of 10 x 10MByte logs. Suppose further that, because of application error, I need to restore to the state at the end of (say) the fourth log. What will be the effect if I create a truncated log back-up file of 40MBytes, then do a restore and use this truncated log to effect a "point-in-time" roll-forward? Anyone tried it?
