We just got socked by a HUGE increase in Maintenance. Has anyone else? 12/2001 we had $5k 12/2002 we had $6k 12/2003 we have $10,600 (after bartering down from $11,056) This is bad news for me since some of our management group seems to love the idea of M/S SQL server. Anybody find a better way to get a good price on this. We are a small company with only a dozen Informix users. Help! Could you list all individual items (product, number of users, runtime/dev, workgroup/enterprise for the engine)? Do you get support from IBM or through a reseller? Very odd, the Official UK prices are either static or have come down Whats the product(s) Tim Ertl wrote: > > We just got socked by a HUGE increase in Maintenance. No, and this is coming from a UK-perspective, I understand that IBM are tightening up on who has workgroup and enterprise editions and what they pay for support. I don't think the price has changed much though. > This is bad news for me since some of our management group seems to love > the idea of M/S SQL server. We have a few SQL Server implementations and the replication is a nightmare when compared with HDR. Schema changes can be very problematic - so bad that we're migrating some of the larger systems to Informix. > Anybody find a better way to get a good price on this. Interestingly I was told by IBM today that Workgroup no longer exists Ben Thompson wrote: > > Tim Ertl wrote: > > > We just got socked by a HUGE increase in Maintenance.
