SQL syntax error when selecting from synonymed table

We are using 7.24.UC6 and getting some strange results when in one instance we select from a table which is a synonym to another instance. The same statement works fine if we execute it in the same instance as the table. All this on HP/UX 10.20. Anyone else hit such a problem? (We are trying to raise it with tech support). Robert
