Apparently Informix has put several "curses" routines in >its libraries used for linking an executable. #include <disclaimer.h> Informix uses its own implementation of curses with termcap, and I think it uses its own version of terminfo too (though I'd stand to be corrected on that). This library originates way back in the long-lost mists of history, and need not bear any resemblance to any other form of termcap/terminfo library. It has never been documented that you can ever call any curses routines and have them work the way you expect. All that has been said is that you can use the termcap (and possibly terminfo) terminal definitions (with some Informix-only extensions if desired) to describe your terminal in a format that Informix will understand. Thus, any linking problems you have using curses are because you are doing unsupported things. If you wish to use curses yourself, you may do so, but you need to decide to do without any of Informix's termcap/terminfo stuff. Specifically, forget about form handling. Hence, you should be using ESQL/C, not Informix-4GL, because ESQL/C has no termcap routines in it. (Comment: it might coincidentally have one or two routines with the same name, but I haven't checked this out -- there are no routines deliberately with the same name. If there are name collisions, then you have a problem unless the two versions of the routine definitely have the same interface and functionality.) >I have run into the following problems: >1.
