Informix Online seems to be blocked
Hi,
Sometimes at one of my customers Informix Online seems to be blocked.
Users cannot work any more, when you try to start onmonitor it hangs
too. Also, it is no more possible to shutdown Informix by onmode -ky.
Most of the users are "Waiting for an event" (status Y in onstat -u).
My first guess would have been that the number of allowed sessions
(connects) has been exceeded. But how could this block already connected
users? Then I found a message in the message log file:
"14:45:35 mt.c, line 8362, thread 16, proc id 11698, mt_notifyvp timed
out."
What could be the reason for this problem or how could I best
trace/identify it (it happens now and then and if it has happened, the
system should be brought back to work quite fast)?
I attach onstat -up, the end of the message log file and the
configuration file.
Thanks for help
