Has anyone written a word wrap routine for text?

Has anyone come up with a way to create "memo" fields? If I put the following fields in a screen form [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] I would like to somehow combine the separate fields into one, or the illusion of one, program variable so that when the user is typing away the words automatically wrap down to the next row. This would be much neater than dumping the user out to "vi" a file pointed to by the database field. I just want to keep a small amount of text , not a whole file. Any ideas (or 3rd party add-ins?)
