Can anyone explain to me the connection, if any, between the list of contacts that have to be submitted to IBM for the setting up of a new PA agreement, and the list of people who are allowed to call IBM Informix Tech Support. Logically you might think that the person who is designated as the Technical Contact on the PA application form might be designated as a technical contact, and then allowed to add other contacts. But I've never been able to find anyone at IBM who can confirm or deny this, and explain how it should work. thanks -- Neil Truby t:01932 724027 Director m:07798 811708 Ardenta Limited e:neil.truby@ardenta.com
Based on our grossly unacceptable experience with PA, it may take you months to get an answer. PA was a factor in our shop's decision to "lOOk for 'greener pastures', so to speak." Mmm. Well, as an IBM business partner I'll not hear a word said against PA *or* IBM! But I would say that the PA "online" query desk here in EMEA is particularly adept in the "for your convenience" school of customer service, declining to provide a telephone number for example on the grounds that people might call them and not be able to speak English (or Gaelic, presumably).
