Details of my system: HP UX 10.20, Informix 7.31 UC2A. Please, ask me at dmorales@giro.es Thank you in advance for all Diego

If you backed up using ontape or onbar you can only restore a single table
if that table is the ONLY object in a particular dbspace. Then you can
restore the dbspace.
Otherwise the only solution is to create the chunkfiles and ONCONFIG file
on another machine and restore the server there from the archive, unload
the table to disk, copy the file(s) to the original server, drop and recreate
the table and reload from the unload file(s).
This is why in addition to archives many DBAs use UNLOAD or dbexport some
critical tables to disk or tape periodically to protect against the
terminally moronic programmer (TMP for short) or runaway program (most
likely written by that selfsame TMP). Fortunately my TMP quit 6 months ago
so I have not had to restore an individual table or database since!

You can do it from an ascii file. Do you have a dbexport of your
database? If so, you can select the file that has the table and insert
it into your table. Write me for more info.
