But strangely (to me), online.log is now } owned by root with permissions -rw-rw-r-- . I thought maybe that was the problem? } (root's group is "daemon"). But I was reluctant to chown this file to informix in } case there's some obscure but good reason it should be owned by root. Advice? } } Mark Heinicke } mheinick@Glue.umd.edu } } Mark, I have nine Informix Online 5.0X engines and each of them had the online log permissions set to 660, and have an owner and group of informix.
