The only tunable for this is the VP_MEMORY_CACHE_KB, the number of KB of
memory to be retained by each CPU VP from the central pool between
queries. This parameter and its usage are reported by onstat -g vpvache.
The value is shown as:
Number of <cpu memory block size> byte memory blocks requested for each CPU
VP: <n>
The vpu memory block size is usually 4096 bytes and is reported on the
first line of the onstat report. The number reported is the number of such
blocks. So on my server I have configured:
VP_MEMORY_CACHE_KB 4095
onstat -g vpcache reports:CPU VP memory block cache statistics - 4096 byte blocks
Number of 4096 byte memory blocks requested for each CPU VP:256
vpid pid Blocks held Hit percentage Free cache
