Is a specific patch required for Solaris with Informix or will applying the Solaris DST patch be sufficient? They are starting to patch the servers now. I want to ensure that the correct patch is applied if possible. thx John Campbell -----Original Message----- From: KAGEL@BLOOMBERG.NET [mailto:KAGEL@BLOOMBERG.NET] Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 4:11 PM To: Campbell, John (GE Money) Cc: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: Daylight Savings Time Campbell, John (GE Money) wrote: > Solaris 9 IDS 9.40.FC5 should have no problems with the Daylight Savings change in March according to the info IBM has posted. We have not created any JAVA procedures nor have we installed any datablades. Any suggestions, concerns, insights, or hidden gotchas? I'm about to tell my manager that we have nothing to fear from the time change in March and no action is required. You just have to make certain that you install the Solaris OS patch with the updated timezone database entries before March 11, 2007 and reboot by then. Last I heard Sun had not yet delivered the updated database patch, it was due this month. Art S. Kagel

The only caveat is to ensure that you at least restart IDS; it might or might not pick up the change on the fly without being restarted. > -----Original Message----- > From: KAGEL@BLOOMBERG.NET [mailto:KAGEL@BLOOMBERG.NET] > Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 4:11 PM > To: Campbell, John (GE Money) > Cc: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Re: Daylight Savings Time > > > Campbell, John (GE Money) wrote: >> Solaris 9 IDS 9.40.FC5 should have no problems with the Daylight >> Savings change in March according to the info IBM has posted.
