ISM and bootstrap file

Hi, I've been testing ONBAR. I reviewed, when I run onbar script. It executes "ism_catalog -create_bootstrap", but at this time I'm testing IDS 9.40 and when I run onbar, it doesn't backup the bootstrap. I was logged in as informix. I opened onbar script and It has a comment that only root can run ism_catalog, but I reviewed same on IDS 9.21 and it's not explicity mentioned. At the end, I just want to Know, can only root back up boostrap file? is this for every IDS 9.xx version? is there any special coding or trick around this? Thanks in advance!
