NewEra: is it possible to read windows events from NewEra

Is it somehow possible to check what windows events that are made? (to get to the event queue?) I would like to check for the Exit-event (or a event from my own buttons), so I can stop the program any time I would like. I got a program that makes several jobs toward the database and I would like to let the user stop the jobs if he want to. Only by clicking/pressing a button. And so my program should at each loop check for this event to see if it was generated. Can someone tell me if this is possible, and if yes, how I do it. Thanks in advance!
