Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

In pessimistic locking changes are automatically applied to the database
when a row loses focus (or is it concurrency).
But in my application I want to prompt the user to accept the changes or
not. No problem, put message in the beforeRowApplied event and return
true or false. True allows the applyRowSQL to continue but False ends
the function before completion. OK so far.
However after rejecting the changes (beforeRowApplied returned False) I
cannot revisit that record make the correct changes and accept. I get a
-259 error. The only way out is to re-query.
If I dont use the beforeRowApplied event, then record locking and
staledata work fine but I dont want to automatically accept record
changes I need to prompt the user.
Thanks
