One thing I found very useful when I was working on tech support was if the test program worked off of the stores database. That meant I could run the test without recreating databases etc. It is even possible nowadays to modify the examples in 4GL by example (fglbe directory). These do in fact cover most of the more normal techniques. But please guys, don't start wasting bandwidth with tech support HORROR stories.
