Hi Paul I actually worked for Westmount in the US a few years ago. Their products are high-end, integrated CASE tools that run on UNIX and use industry-standard databases such as ORACLE, Informix, Sybase, and Ingres as the repository (which has all sorts of advantages if you are using any one of these databases). The product is very strong, in my opinion, on quality of implementation and adherence to the various methodologies - it supports (SSADM, Yourdon's SA/SD and OMT by Rumbaugh). However, you don't get a pretty interface - it's basic X-windows (but completely functional). In this country, the lack of a MS Windows-like interface with lots of pull-downs and pop-ups was real issue as was the lack of support for an MS Windows client (but they were working on that when I left). The meat's there even if the packaging is not up to US standards. This is one I-CASE tool that really can produce production 3GL & 4GL code for the databases listed above. It also re-engineers those databases to produce entity-relationship diagrams. Regards, Tony Bravo 71001.1253@compuserve.com
