Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
webjimmy, new from Oracle, asked for Informix SQL developer tools like SQL Developer or TOAD. Obnoxio The Clown and another poster joked that real men use vi. Fernando Nunes suggested ServerStudio and IBM Data Studio, and warned not to expect Oracle equivalents since databases differ. No further reply.

True, portable to almost all platforms and not as heavyweight as
emacs.

Some generic tools work with Informix.
Besides those, you can consider for example:
. ServerStudio ( http://www.serverstudio.com )
. IBM Data Studio ( http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/studio/ )
But you should specify exactly what you need to do.
If you're trying to look for Oracle equivalents you may hit a common error:
forgetting that databases are really different...
You probably don't need some of the "features" you find in some of the usual
tools for Oracle.
Regards.
