We use the VERITAS NetBackup for our backups & restores. We currently backup the logs to tape with the continous logging on. We want to implement the disk logging and schedule the log backups to tape from the disk. We had a slight hiccup in our strategy here. We define a file-system folder with RAID5 to redirect the logical log backups. As we know, It gets accumulated until its defined capacity. We need to have a backup of the logs to the tape before we re-claim the disk space by purging the logs. Question ------------ How do we automate the log directory purging from the VERITAS netbackup when it backs up the log to the tape ?
