RE: Attempting to set PDQPRIORITY via CLI Client
Posted in 1999
Rick,
Thanks for the reply, is $INFORMIXDIR/etc/informix.rc on the PC client?
What should this file look like, I don't seem to have it. My INFORMIXDIR on
the client is D:\\Program Files\\Informix
Thanks,
John

John,
You can also specify it within $INFORMIXDIR/etc/informix.rc.
Unfortunately, it becomes the default for all queries.
I am not aware of another solution using Informix provided
ODBC drivers. Even the Informix SDK 3.3 fails to address this issue.
We are faced with this same dilemma for user queries
initiated through Business Objects.

Subject: Attempting to set PDQPRIORITY via CLI Client
Hi All,
I am attempting run parallel DSS queries utilizing a ODBC/CLI-32 connection
to a 7.30 engine (UNIX). I cannot figure out where to specify this other
than within the SQL statement. Hence, while utilizing reporting software
(Impromptu) on the client, I cannot add the SQL entry. While running
dbaccess on the database host I am able to "set PDQPRIORITY 100;" within the
SQL statement and/or "set PDQPRIORITY=100" as an environment variable, the
query then runs in parallel.
