Replication failed ! why ?

I got an error message when I tried to use the "cdr list server" command. The error message is : SERVER ID STATE STATUS CONNECTION CHANGED ------------------------------------------------------------------ cdr: can't fetch server SQL code -461 : cannot open file 'csql.iem'. ISAM 0 : The file,csql.iem, exists. Can anyone tell me what wrong with the Replication Server ? I use IDS7.31 on HP-UX 10.20. Thanks Jung-Hui Cheng cheng@dbtel.com.tw

The 'cdr' utility is a client and it's messages are in the client SDK. (csql.iem is the client-sql message file). I think that you can create a soft link from $INFORMIXDIR/msg/isql.iem to $INFORMIXDIR/msg/csql.iem to get arround this problem as the message is in both files. Opps, I just read the last part of your email. Did you install the client sdk seperate from the engine? If so, then the cdr utility might be looking in a different location. Also, you need to ensure that the csql.iem file is not from a previous install. Finally you need to make sure that the csql.iem file is readable. This is a common problem with sites that have not installed the client SDK and are using the cdr utility.
