Shared Memory question - Abhay Mannur.

While installing Informix, the manual says that login as 'root' --- why ? I think due to this, the oninit in $INFORMIXDIR/bin is owned by root : informix. So I ( informix ) can't use ipcrm to remove the shared memory segments. If I install Informix using informix login what will happen ? Thanks in advance. Cheers. Abhay Mannur.
