Over the past six months the Conference Planning Committee has blasted email to you, and filled the Insider with everything you need to know about the conference we have planned for April 25 - 28. In fact, everything we know about the conference is located at http://www.iiug.org/conf. We have done all we can to make sure you have the information needed to update and learn new skills as they relate to Informix. This year the conference will have what you have asked for: - The IIUG will be providing an upgraded Internet service in the Conference area this year. Internet bandwidth will be upgraded from 768K to 10 Meg dedicated!! - No construction in the hotel! Renovations are complete and the hotel looks fabulous. - We have dedicated a conference room at the hotel for a "Hands-on Lab". IBM will provide the laptops, the experts, the VM images and the course material to allow participants to get some hands-on experience with the latest Informix technology (http://www.iiug.org/conf/2010/ iiug/labs.php). - The conference will also include an Informix Usability Sandbox, where IIUG attendees can help shape and improve the usability of Informix. You can make a difference and influence future product direction by participating in 1 on 1 usability studies, group presentation/brainstorming sessions for gathering requirements, or group validation sessions of current and future Informix features from your perspective. - Access to IBM Executives in general sessions or One-on-one (http:// www.iiug.org/conf/2010/iiug/keynote.php) - Eight Half-day Tutorials on Sunday (http://www.iiug.org/conf/2010/ iiug/tutorials.php) - 80+ Technical Sessions Mon-Wed. Draft schedule is now available! (http://www.iiug.org/conf/2010/iiug/Draft_Sessions_Schedule.pdf) - Exhibition Hall with Informix partners and vendors (http:// www.iiug.org/conf/2010/iiug/sponsors.php) - Networking Opportunities and FUN! Come join us!
LOL... The best Informix event *ever* was way back when the Informix World Wide User Group Conference first came to Chicago. Just ask Nils. ;-) (BTW, where is he these days?) But maybe I'm biased. ;-) -G > From: jgedmiston@gmail.com > Subject: Will you be at the IIUG Conference? Gumby, I triple dog dare you to attend this great conference. All of your sales and marketing friends will be there. You can get all of your questions answered and resolve these issues you have with IBM, once and for all. See you in Kansas! Roy, What are we in 4th Grade? Should we all change our names to Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny? ;-) Silly boy, I'm slammed with work and I'm planning on hitting either a conference in NY or SF later this year. With respect to IBM. If you really liked the product, then you'd have a chip on your shoulder too. Unless you've got a short memory. But hey! What do I know? I mean heck. You were all thrilled by their "double digit" growth. ;-) Seriously what do I know? Not a damn thing. ;-) -G > From: roy.mercer@gmail.com > Subject: Re: Will you be at the IIUG Conference?
