Data transfer from DEC server 4000 to Alpha server 4100

Dear List users,
We are in the process of transferring our 2GB data from DEC server 4000
to our new Server Alpha Server 4100. We are using DEC OSF 4.0D /
Informix ODS 7.2 on both servers.
We have a few options :
1. Use "ontape -r" to restore, in which case we have to create the
dbspaces of same size on new machine and then add more chunks to
incresae the dbspace, or
2. Define the dbspaces on new machine with higher storage capacity and
use dbexport / dbimport to load data, which will be very time
consuming......
Any suggestions ????? Thanks in advance....

Use this + several tapes. Define tape size as 400Mb. Whilst tape 2 is
being exported tape 1 can be being imported, hence you can overlap
export and import...

I will just use onunload/onload. It give you better performance than
dbexport and also skip the restriction on the dbspace setup.
