Greetings, Just now working through a similar problem. If you're on LWP then you must install 2 patches which update 4.1 or 4.2 and provide clean Winsock 1.1. Patches available through NOVLIB on COMPUSERVE or from Novell. I also did some minor tweaking to the I* config (using Online server engines). DOS SHARE also was a problem. When I rem'd the SHARE statement, the database connection worked fine. Good luck, and let me know if I can help further. Tom Hammer, Sacramento
