This: report r(s, t) define s datetime year to second, t integer order by s, t format every row end report compiled cleanly under compiled I4GL version 4.10.UC1 on a Sun. I take it from this that it is a 4.00 bug -- I knew about it and the best circumvention I'd come across was the CHAR(x) variables, as you found out.
