Caling 4gl program from a Stored procedure

Hi, I want to call a 4gl program from the stored procedure. I tried using the SYSTEM call. It worked fine as long as I didn't have pass any parameter to the 4gl program.... I need to pass a couple of parameters to the 4gl program. If I need to pass parameters to the 4gl program, how should I call the 4gl from a stored procedure ????
