TSM DB and Logical Log backups

IDS 9.40 FC2 HPUX 11.11 We are in the process of implementing TSM backups for our dev/test servers and I have a question regarding continuous logging and TSM. I would like to know if someone is currently using continuos logging to TSM and if there is anyway to define the log pool to use the local file system, and if so, if TSM becomes unavailable will the logging cease until TSM is back online? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
