Weird crashing
We are experiencing some weird problems and can't determine if it is either a hardware problem or engine problem. We have installed numerous S/W patches (from SUN) and can't seen to narrow down the cause of the problem. Anybody have any thoughts or ideas. Systems: Sun 690 MP, 256 MB RAM, OS= 4.1.3_u1, Sum4m architecture, XBOX, DBE Database: On-line 5.01.uc1, 32 GB Symptoms: System recently started crashing, 5 times within the last week. (oh great percentage, ha ha). The "dmesg" report shows: pid 7827, `sqlturbo': Data access exception then the system panics and reboots (see dmesg list below). We have installed numerous patches in the past (system has been running great over the past several weeks). We have recently added more drives and have had crashes for other user reasons. Question: Could we have corrupted the engine, or dbspaces to cause this type of system crash? Our informix log file does't show any errors prior to this happening (ie, all successful checkpoints).
