Should be a simple : answer ! It is. ODBC is independent of the host machine Informix (or any other DBMS) is running on. The ODBC driver on the PC talks to Informix-NET/PC, which in turn is talking to the TCP/IP-stack on the PC. On the host, all you need is I-NET (SE) or I-STAR (Online) and, of course, TCP/IP, which is more or less standard with UNIX, anyway.
