Cursors in Stored Procedures ?

Hi All, Is it possible to create a cursor in a stored procedure ? I come accross a "Syntax Error" when DECLARE my cursor. I want to update a table in another database, in another instance, from a stored procedure. But I want the external database and instance names to be flexible (they are defined in a reference table). So my stored procedure: 1. Get the instance name and database name from a table using a simple select statement. 2. Then I would like to update my table in the remote database/instance whose name has been retrieve by 1. Any idea ? Thanks, Vincent
