PERFORM attributes?

Using the PERFORM formbuilder, is there a field attribute that will restrict integer entries to positive values or do I have to logically check each entry in the instructions section? I tried the "FORMAT" attribute with "#s" and a mistakenly entered minus sign does not appear in the form's field when data is being entered, but it does get written to the table!
