Unfortunately we do our log back-ups to disk (another unsupported feature!) and thence to tape via cpio or ufsdump. I suppose I could try unplugging the disk! Seriously though, I reckon this'll work. But I want lots of my fellow professionals to agree with me first or, failing that, tell me why they think it won't. Thanks Neil
