Threads - Urgent

Hi all, We have an application using Informix esql/c. From my program, I query a table in another database using scroll cursor. After processing the data, I close and free the cursor, but the user thread is still maintained for the program, till I exit from the program. I would like to know when the user thread is closed. Any help/pointers regarding this is welcome. TIA, Ajay
