Error 152
We are receiving this error as Logical logs are
written to tape. Any ideas
how to correct ?
Our log shows this as the entry.

/app01/informix/current/etc/log_full.sh 2 23 "Logical Log 59589 Complete."

$ finderr 152-152 ISAM error: Illegal message type received from remote process.
This internal error should not occur. Note all the details about the
network software in use and the version level of the database servers
in this and the other host system. If the error recurs, please note all
circumstances and contact Informix Technical Support.

Rather than an error number, the 152 refers to an ON-Bar return code. This
code means:
ON-Bar cannot back up the logical logs.
The logical logs are not backed up for either of the following reasons:
* If another log backup is currently running.
* If you perform a logical-log backup with the LTAPEDEV parameter set to
/dev/null
(UNIX) or nul (Windows NT).
You receive this return code when no log backups can be done.
To enable log backups, change the LTAPEDEV parameter to a valid value.
When we receive this return code, it is typically due to another logical log
backup currently running; but that has just been our experience. We use BMC's
SQL-BackTrack as our storage manager.
By the way, these return codes can be found in Appendix A of the "Informix
Backup and Restore Guide".

ALARMPROGRAM onconfig parameter is configured to automatically
backup the logical log files when they become full.
Onbar reports error 152 when it can't backup logical logs for either of the
following reasons.
- If another log backup is currently running.
- If logical log backup is performed with LTAPEDEV onconfig parameter is
set to /dev/null (Unix) or nul (Windows).
To enable logical log backup, change the LTAPEDEV onconfig parameter to
valid value.
Onbar return codes are not incorporated in finderr. Please refer to
"IBM Informix Backup and Restore Guide", chapter "ON-Bar Messages and
Return codes".
