How are you configuring the tape drives vs dbspaces map?
Informix (onbar) backs up only the part of the dbspaces that
contain data as opposed to Oracle's copy of the entire tablespace.
So, if you have one tape per dbspace map in onbar, then
this is OK as long as that dbspace has no more than the sizes
you're seeing.
