isql/perform SCREEN SIZE?

Using ISQL/PERFORM (no ESQL, etc.) I should be able to create a form with more than the default 24 lines - see pp 3-12..3/14 of "Informix-SQL Reference Manual 4.0". I have not been able to make this work despite all attempts at setting my terminal correctly (I think) and coding/compiling the form correctly (I think). Has anyone (not ESQL users) had success in creating forms that are "custom" sized? ......and might have suggestions for success?
