a few queries for all - 1. Is version 3.5 final yet? This page has the driver listed as "trial": http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/download/search.jsp?go=y&rs=ifxjdbc 2. What is the recommended JDBC Driver version to use with IDS 10? I thought 3.5 was for IDS 11. 3. On the interface, were are using version 3.0JC3. I think it's important that our entire application uses the same driver version throughout. Should we plan on upgrading the jdbc driver on the interface along with middle-tier? Thanks much - Tom
I'm using JDBC 3.5 on IDS 10.0 and its working fine. Not sure why they say trial except that its a free version as in 'trial version' not beta. > From: tomcaml@gmail.com > Subject: JDBC Driver Concerns > Date: Fri, 24 Apr 2009 12:17:44 -0700 > To: informix-list@iiug.org > > a few queries for all - > > 1. If you have a Passport Advantage contract you can download version 3.50 from there. The last one available should be 3.50.JC3. > > 2. What is the recommended JDBC Driver version to use with IDS 10? The important it to keep a supported version. Don't lag too behind. Regards. -- Fernando Nunes Portugal http://informix-technology.blogspot.com My email works... but I don't check it frequently...
